About me - Jane Ratford, MA, MBACP
I am a NHS and WPF (Westminster Pastoral Foundation) trained psychotherapist and counsellor.
I completed a Post Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at the NHS Tavistock and Portman Clinic in Hampstead. Previously, I had completed a three year WPF and BACP accredited training in Psychodynamic Counselling at the Herts and Beds Training Foundation in St Albans.
I currently hold an honorary psychotherapist position at the NHS Tavistock Clinic as part of my advanced training. I have recently completed a two year honorary position with a St Albans secondary care NHS mental health unit where I practised long term therapy.
I currently hold a university visiting lecturer position teaching on the BSc Psychology course at Hertfordshire University teaching Schools of Psychotherapy to undergraduates.
Previously, I have taught at the Newham University Centre on the Open University accredited Integrative Counselling Degree.
I have a BA Hons Degree in Philosophy.
Before working clinically, I worked in policy and research and I maintain an interest in social research and communications.
